Higher Education
I was the kid who loved raising her hand and the one who stayed after class to ask the next question, and maybe had "talks too much” in class on her report card. Higher education didn’t just give me knowledge. It gave me language, confidence, and a sense of direction I’ve never stopped chasing.
Now I show up for students the way mentors and professors once showed up for me. I’ve taught courses in communication, storytelling, and design. I’ve helped build programs that bridge classroom learning with real-world client work. I’ve spoken on panels, served on alumni councils, and offered career advice in quiet hallway moments, because I know how much that can matter.
My work in higher ed is deeply personal. It’s not about a title or a resume line. It’s about giving back to the spaces that shaped me and helping the next generation shape what comes next.
Westminster College
Alumni Council Member
& Committee Chair
Since 2022, I’ve served on the Westminster College Alumni Council, helping shape the strategic direction of alumni engagement while acting as a liaison between alumni, students, faculty, and administration. As Chair of the Social Media Ambassador Committee, I lead efforts to connect graduates across generations, amplify campus milestones, and extend the reach of College initiatives through digital storytelling. In this role, I support institutional goals by contributing to strategic planning conversations, strengthening alumni programming, and encouraging both financial and community support for the College. I’m passionate about using communication as a tool to preserve legacy, foster connection, and create new opportunities for students and alumni alike.
A2Pittsburgh Education Chair
2020-2024
For four years, I served as the Education Chair on the first all-female Board of Directors for Ad 2 Pittsburgh. In this role, I worked on mentorship programs, hosted events and portfolio reviews, and created opportunities for students and young professionals to connect with industry leaders. I focused on making the local creative community more accessible, more welcoming, and more prepared for what’s next.
Adjunct Faculty Instructor
& Graduate Assistant
Across both Westminster College and Point Park University, I’ve taught and supported courses that merge strategic thinking, design fundamentals, and real-world communication practice.
At Westminster, I served as an adjunct instructor for Public Communication, where I developed assignments, facilitated discussions, and guided students in building essential messaging and presentation skills. I collaborated with faculty to ensure course content aligned with departmental goals and reflected current industry standards.
At Point Park University, I served as a graduate and teaching assistant while earning my M.A. in Communication Technology with a concentration in social media.
During that time, I also taught undergraduate courses in visual communication, illustration, and digital publishing. My classes focused on storytelling through design, helping students develop portfolio-worthy work across both print and digital platforms. I also supported school-wide marketing, social media, recruitment events, and public relations campaigns for the School of Communication.
These roles deepened my ability to translate complex ideas into accessible learning experiences and strengthened the facilitation and leadership skills I now bring to client workshops, research interviews, and brand strategy engagements.
Carillon Communications
Program Co-Founder
As an alumnae, I co-created Carillon Communications at Westminster College program for students to gain real-world experiences and client-facing work to build their portfolios, complementing campus-related and classroom experiences. In its first year, students worked with startup syrup.tech of Harvard Innovation Labs, a sustainability inventory allocation and machine learning technology for fashion brands, on crafting branding, pitch decks, and marketing collatteral.
Speaker, Panelist,
& Participant
I’ve supported Westminster College through a range of volunteer roles, including the Professional Networking Symposium, WC Connect mentorship program, Job Fair, Humanities Symposium, and as a guest speaker in Marketing Management and Sports Marketing courses. Across each, I’ve shared real-world insights on brand strategy, career development, and communication to help students navigate their next steps with confidence.
